Year ending preliminary report from NYPD

The NYPD reported for the year 2021, 485 dead from homicides compared to 468 from 2020. In 2019, it was 318 murders. For people with bullets inside was 1,562 compared to 1,532 for the year 2020. The Bronx reported the most with people having bullets inside their bodies somewhere followed by Manhattan and then Brooklyn. Over 2,500 locations reported multiple shots fired. The stabbing and slashing reports have not been released.
