First homicide and stabbing reported in Queens

Police reported the first stabbing of the new year for NYC reported in Bayside. Around 1:30am on New Year's Day, a male was stabbed in the chest. This is on Horace Harding Expressway by 202nd Street. The suspect, male, white took off after the victim, male, 51 was taken to a hospital.

For murder, it's in Long Island City. A female was stabbed to death on Saturday around 8:30pm. This is by 23rd Street and Broadway. The woman was found with stabs lying on the sidewalk and later died. No arrests for both incidents. Ongoing investigation.
