Woman dragged half mile to death in Babylon

The Suffolk County Police reported a young woman was struck by a vehicle and then dragged for half mile. It happened today afternoon around 1pm on Deer Park Avenue and Garnet Street near Southern State Parkway in Babylon. She later died at the hospital. She was walking with another man who was also hit by the vehicle and he is in stable condition.Police reported it was a white van and was stopped after multiple drivers followed and flagged down. No criminal charges have been filed and the investigation is ongoing.
Update - The driver Donnell Hicks, 26, of Queens is charged with hit and run. He was driving a 2017 Dodge Ram while working as a delivery for Auto Zone. Cops followed the lead to his arrest at the store around 2pm. The dead identified as Ann Marie Christina, 38 and the injured as Eric Krems, 40.
