Warming centers for freezing temperatures

Nassau County Executive Blakeman announced three locations for warming centers around the clock starting today.

Cantiague Park Administration Office – 480 W John St, Hicksville

Open 24 hours – Conference Room

Wantagh Administration Building – 1 King Rd, Wantagh

Open 24 hours – Community Room

Mitchel Field Administration Building – 1 Charles Lindbergh Blvd, Uniondale

Open 24 hours – First Floor

For NYC, call 311. The NYCHA has locations but check for capacity.

Bronx — Highbridge Senior Center, 1145 University Ave.

Brooklyn — Brownsville Senior Center, 582 Mother Gaston Blvd.

Manhattan — Taft Senior Center, 1365 5th Ave.

Queens — Bland Senior Center, 40-21 College Point Blvd.

Staten Island — Gerard Carter Center, 230 Broad St.
