Highway CIS on full force in NYC

The NYPD Highway CIS is on full force starting today tracking down temporary plates on highways from Belt Parkway, Cross Island Parkway, GCP, LIE to BQE. They will be cracking down temporary licence plates that are fake. There is no fine but arrests for using fake temp paper plates on vehicles. More charges will be added on top of it if the vehicle is not registered or insured. As of today, 38 vehicles were pulled over and multiple arrests were reported.
