Violent weekend also added hate crimes in Queens

Added a new crime and its pursuit.

Over the weekend, the NYPD reported pursuit from both vehicle and foot was the highest. This is from drivers who refused to obey commands to pull over and chase people on foot from not stopping from police.

This morning, commuters ran for cover when over ten shots were fired at the Jamaica Airtrain station around 5am. This is by Archer Avenue and Sutphin Blvd in Jamaica.

ESU recovered 6 shell casings and detectives are continuing to check hospitals for bullet victims.

Meanwhile, western Queens residents reported burglaries matching description to suspects wearing construction jackets.

One part of Flushing reported hate crimes targeting an ethnic group mainly on Main Street in Kew Garden Hills increasing police patrol.

Meanwhile, assaults continue to rise and expected to increase from last year as per data released.
