Victim stabbed in an unprovoked act in Jamaica

On Sunday night around 8:30pm, a female victim while minding her own business was stabbed multiple times at the local subway station. This is at Jamaica-Van Wyck train station.

The suspect, homeless and a local panhandler was pointed out by witnesses and taken into custody after they held onto him.

The victim managed to go to the hospital on her own where 911 was called. Police stated the suspect was demanding cash and the victim refused.

The suspect has been charged with attempted robbery and weapon possession.
