Victim shot after vehicle crash between two tow truck companies in Ozone Park

Police reported a woman was involved in a vehicle accident in Ozone Park and then shot after two two truck companies on the scene were arguing. It happened on Saturday night around 10pm on Sutter Avenue and 77th Street. The woman got into a fender bender and then called 911. Before police arrived, two tow truck companies came first on the scene and then got into a competition to tow the vehicle. One of the tow truck drivers took out a gun and opened fire striking the female victim. Then took off in the same tow truck. The other tow truck remained on the scene and is cooperating with the police. The woman is in stable condition at a local hospital. Ongoing investigation.
