Vehicle mileage tax approved

America the beautiful, walk or bike y'all and no cars.

The hidden agenda in the $1.2 trillion infrastructure bill voted with pass to charge drivers per mileage. 19 members of GOP sided with the Democrats. Drivers will be charged per mile when it will be enforced next year.

The infrastructure bill allocates “$125 million toward exploring the possibility of a federal vehicle miles traveled tax (VMT) by funding the launch of federal, state and local VMT pilot programs.” Tax payments to the federal government on mileage would be calculated quarterly.

Breakdown of $1.2T Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill -

$110 billion on roads and bridges.

$39 billion on public transport.

$66 billion on rail.

$65 billion to expand broadband internet.

$25 billion for major airport repairs.

$7.5 billion for the first ever network of charging stations for electric vehicles.

$21 billion to address environmental issues such as pollution.

$73 billion to modernize the American energy grid.

Financing -

$650 billion in funding for the bill comes from existing planned investments in national roads, highways and bridges.
