Vehicle checkpoints across NYC by police

No stop and frisk but vehicle checkpoints are allowed in NYC. At the same time, local politicians can join NYPD and oversee the activities. The checkpoint are for tracking quality of life concerns in the neighborhood. Anyone driving without license is taken to the local precinct for identification and vehicles are towed away by the city unless there is another passenger can drive. NYPD will conducting checkpoints in various locations throughout Labor Day.
