Update on the second in command of NYS

Brian Benjamin who campaigned for defunding the NYPD is released on a $250,000 bail package. He pleaded not guilty to five counts. Under the bail package, he is not allowed to step his foot in Albany's State Capitol at all. His travel is being restricted to Southern and Eastern District Courts of the US Attorney's Office. Also Eastern District of Virginia and Northern District of Georgia.

U.S. Attorney Damian Williams stated this is a simple story of corruption regarding his failed city comptroller's race.

Now other elected officials are calling for his resignation.

As of now, the Governor has not issued a statement. The Governor cancelled her trip to Hempstead today for the committment of $100 million for LIE and SSP road repairs.

Update - As of 5pm, Benjamin resigned.
