Update on the 116th Precinct

With budget agreed by both Mayor and City Council today, while a vote is taking place, the development of the 116th Precinct is all cancelled and will not have one that would split the 105th Precinct in northeast Queens. Instead of a new police precinct, a new community center will be developed for youth and residents alike. The budget will be less and the location will be announced in the vicinity of Roy Wilkins Park. As for the location slated for the 116th Precinct, the city has not decided the status.
