Unprovoked attacks inside Queens subways are on the rise

Despite what politicians say there is no crime inside subways and police presence not required, over 20 victims have been assaulted, harassed and added to two more incidents, slashing and shoving to the tracks this week. A 17 year old was pushed to the tracks from behind at the 46th Street station in Astoria yesterday around 11:30am. Then at 5:30pm, a victim was slashed at the 65th Street station also in Astoria. The suspect was apprehended shortly as a career criminal and taken for psychiatric observation. Today, around 4pm, another victim was slashed outside the Broadway and Roosevelt Avenue station. Then took off toward the transit. The suspect identified as male, Indian, long hair wearing a brown bubble jacket. Ongoing investigation.
