Underpass at NHP Road completed for LIRR

Over the weekend, workers installed a 3,350 ton concrete underpass at New Hyde Park Road to make way for traffic without waiting for train delays. The grade x-ing has been eliminated for both drivers and pedestrians to continue under the bridge. According to MTA, 600 workers were on the scene with heavy duty equipment to complete the task. The remaining tasks are under work and a date will be announced when open for the public.
