Undercover agents continue to bust stores for selling alcohol to minors

The NYS Liquor Authority continues to have sting operations. For last week, it was Manhattan and Queens using two underage agents to bust stores from selling liquor illegally to minors.

Of eight locations visited, five were busted.

Mike Deli & Convenience Inc in Manhattan.

Kelvin Grocery & Deli Inc in Far Rockaway.

Deli Grocery Shef Pepin Inc in Far Rockaway.

Tauros Bar and Restaurant Corp in Richmond Hill.

Fitz J Group Inc in Jamaica where there were two sales - one to each underage agents.

The businesses refusing to sell to a minor were:

Nuevo Ambient Quisqueyano Rest Corp in Far Rockaway.

Jasodra Henry in Jamaica.

13115 Jamaica Bar Corp in Richmond Hill.

From the statement, Licensees charged by the SLA with underage sales face civil penalties of up to $10,000 per violation, with fines starting from $2,500 to $4,000 for a first-time offense. Repeat offenders also face possible suspension, cancellations, or revocation of their licenses.
