Two workers beat deli customer after argument

Deli workers Jorge Hernandez and Saber Abuhamra were arrested Sunday morning after assaulting a customer during an altercation. It happened at Pickles and Pies Food Market & Deli located on Beach 116th Street in Rockaway Park. Police were called and they found the victim badly hurt. The employees are facing charges for hitting and choking the man who they say was drunk. They say they acted in self defense. The man is  in the hospital in critical but stable condition. The investigation is ongoing.
