Two separate vehicle accidents on Long Island

Suffolk County reported two separate vehicle accidents with fatalities today. The latest incident was reported on the Long Island Expressway eastbound by Exit 49S. EMS reported two victims unresponsive and one dead. The incident occurred around 2:30pm this afternoon.

Around 1:30pm, Sunrise Highway closed due to a vehicle accident with one dead. This is by William Floyd Parkway in Shirley.

The medical examiners transported the bodies to conduct autopsies.

Both incidents are under investigation.
