Two separate pedestrian deaths in Queens and Long Island

On Tuesday around 5pm, a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and died on Long Island. This is on Kennedy Avenue and Pine Street in Blue Point, Suffolk County. The driver remained on the scene and continued to cooperate with the police.

As for Queens, there were two separate hit and run with one incident reporting fatality.

This morning around 7:30am, College Point Blvd and Horace Harding Expressway intersection was closed after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle. The driver took off.

On Tuesday night around 11pm, a vehicle matching a burglary was tracked down in Astoria by police. The driver refused to stop and a pursuit started on 37th Avenue and 27th Street. Three suspects, males and Hispanics, according to police struck an innocent pedestrian on a bicycle who later died at the hospital. Further investigation stated the vehicle was found on Newtown Road.

Police are now searching for the suspects.

All incidents are under investigation.
