Two separate fatalities in Nassau County

Around 1:15am, a multiple vehicle accident occurred in Lake Success. A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Marcus Avenue. This is right outside Shoprite.

The pedestrian, male, 67 died at the local hospital. The driver remained on the scene and is cooperating with the police.

Also on Sunday around 1pm, a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and died in West Hempstead.

This is on Woodfield Road and Lindenberg Street.

The driver remained on the scene and continued to cooperate with the police.

Both incidents are continuing the investigation.
