Third track is all complete from Floral Park to Hicksville

Today, the Governor was in Westbury to announce the completion of LIRR’s Third Track project. This runs from Floral Park to Hicksville, a total of 9.8 miles. The Governor stated the project is completed on time and the service will increase by 40%. This is part of the LIRR Main Line Expansion Project costing $2.5 billion dollars and took four years to complete.
