Two men plead guilty to assault of a Whitestone teen

On Monday, January 8, two suspects pleaded guilty to slashing a 16 year old foreign exchange teen student after mistaken identity. The incident happened in Whitestone on December 2015. Both are identified as Wilson Lair, 26 of Oakland Gardens and Devon Berkley, 39 of Pennsylvania. Their sentencing is scheduled for February 14. Lai will head to jail for 19 years and Berkley for 18 years. The victim survived the attack but scars are permanently visible on her face.
