Turkey deals at New Hyde Park s ShopRite had mixed messages for shoppers

When shoppers went to ShopRite at New Hyde Park to buy turkey for Thanksgiving, they were in a bigger surprise. Some were free while others were just fifty cents or less. The only catch is one must spend $400 between October 15 to November 23 to qualify. Also, its limited to one person per family. The $400 purchase is automatically added to the member's ShopRite card which will alert the cashier. If $400 is not met, then the regular price applies which range from $40 to $50 per turkey. The management reported the promotion is confusing but giving it a try and didn't respond when asked the same campaign will be set for next year.
