Troopers arrest Oneonta man wanted on arrest warrant stemming from domestic dispute

On July 15, 2025, at approximately 8:50 a.m., New York State Police at Richfield Springs arrested Kyle J. Packer, age 34 of Oneonta, NY on an arrest warrant for the class “C” felony of Burglary in the second degree and the class “E” felony of Criminal Contempt in the first degree. Parker was additionally changed with the misdemeanors of Unlawful Fleeing a Police Officer, Resisting Arrest, and Obstructing Governmental Administration.

On June 12, 2025, Packer was involved in a domestic dispute at a private residence in the town of Edmeston where he violated an order of protection, unlawfully entered a home and struck a victim. Packer left the residence prior to the Trooper’s arrival. 

Troopers continued to search for Packer and located him on June 24 in the town of New Berlin, where he fled on a farm tractor traveling up a hill and later into a wooded area.
