Three transit spots has robberies spiking in Queens

The NYPD is now on high alert after three spots reported armed robberies with victims in Queens. All the incidents occurred inside the subways. The third slot is Jamaica Avenue and Parsons Blvd in Jamaica followed by Roosevelt Avenue and 74th Street in Jackson Heights. The first one with the most robberies in the Main Street line by Roosevelt Avenue in Flushing. The victims were robbed of personal belongings and most of the incidents occurred after midnight.

Two victims reported it's not safe coming from work and are now using private vehicles for protection despite costing more by adding overtime to pay the fares.

Several ride share app drivers also reported of being robbed while waiting on the corner of Roosevelt Avenue and Main Street for passenger pickups.

The NYPD is discussing the plan to increase patrols overnight but due to shortage of cops around the city, the Mayor's office has not responded to the demand.
