Three people shot on Jamaica Avenue in Queens Village

Police closed off Jamaica Avenue reporting three people shot. This is by 214th Place in Queens Village. One is an off duty correction officer shot.

EMS is working to transport all three shot to Jamaica Hospital. The officer was shot in the leg. Jamaica Avenue is closed in both directions.

Ongoing investigation.

Update - The off-duty CO spotted two suspects pulling out a gun aiming at a group on Jamaica Avenue after exiting a vehicle. After firing shots by the suspects, the CO returned fire. All three including the CO are taken to hospitals.
