Three honored including a Douglaston resident

John Gilday of Douglaston along with his co-workers from Verizon, Michael Popowich and Anthony Howley were honored with a proclamation by NYC City Council for bravery. All three were working as usual in Flushing on Northern Blvd when they witnessed a man trying to rape a woman on the corner of 150-24 Northern Blvd. The three workers went after the suspect and hold him until cops arrived.
