The safest city reported 96 shootings in NYC for one month

The NYPD issued statement for the month of January 2022 of shootings. 96 people were shot in NYC, the safest city once proclaimed by the former Mayor. Guns are the problem and not people according to the current Mayor. Illegal guns from out of state need to be curbed.

On Sunday, commuters inside a bus ran for cover when a stray bullet hit the side in Harlem. This is the fourth bus hit by bullet with people inside. Now bus drivers are demanding bullet proof vests for their safety.

The Mayor's Office is working to add more violence interupters to combat gun violence with love instead of jail punishments. The first set of federal aid has been allocated to provide nonprofits to hire such manpower to spread love over violence with programs.
