The love is now fast track to humanity in NYC

Incarcerations NO work but love does with taxpayer funds.

Today, the NYC Mayor announced the closing of Rikers Island is now on fast track. The sooner the better and selected inmates will be housed around the city with love, dignity and compassion.

The first step is setting aside $241 million taxpayer funds for 104 inmates with mental health to a special unit in Bellevue hospital.

The move raises big questions on capacity, staffing, security, and whether treatment will be effective or just shift the crisis off the island and into NYC’s hospital system. Since the Mayor does not have the single authority to close Rikers Island, the City Council has the majority and already approved the plan.

Also, the four new jails in Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens and the Bronx will handle easier access to courts, lawyers and family for people being held before trial. A new budget will be allocated to handle the operation with staff on payrolls to show why crime is bad and doesn't pay. The city is now on a recruitment spree to hire people to help those committing crimes. No education required but must have the decency to be respectful.

Approximately 60% to 70% of the inmates there are charged with violent felonies or other serious crimes and what they need is love but moreover taxpayer's money to enjoy life without working.

The Mayor is pitching a new plan to make life better for them.

The next set of budget to move more inmates from Rikers Island is set to be announced in the coming weeks.

Say hello to your new neighbors.
