Ten years to save the planet protest in Manhattan for climate strike

Mayor de Blasio announced that on Friday, September 21, 1.1 million students attending NYC public schools be excused from classes to attend climate acton in Manhattan. The UN Global Action Youth Summit will take place at United Nations where attendees are approved from applications. The other event is in downtown Manhattan. In order to attend, middle and high school students need permission and elementary students requires permission from parents with written consent. The protest will start around 12pm.
