Teen in custody after school lock down in LIC

The NYPD reported a teen has been placed in custody after a dispute at the local high school between groups when a weapon was shown.

The incident occurred this morning around 11am at the local high school in Long Island City on Broadway near 14th Avenue. From a witness, a fight broke out and then security intervened. This is when the weapon was found.

EMS treated all for injuries.

Charges are pending for the teen from the Queens DA's office.
