Taxing all to pay for drama to keep services well lubed

If you have a normal job, you don't count but must pay your taxes to keep a new drama on a roll, and it's only $1 million dollars a day. That's the number according to the NYS Comptroller's Office.

Forget TV's long-time drams like General Hospital.

The new daytime soap drama is always on at 26 Federal Plaza, where local elected officials along with non-profits gather to protest against US Immigration and Customs (ICE) from deporting migrants living in NY, especially those convicted of crimes.

The elected officials are upset that taxpayer funds are being drastically cut after ICE arrested and detained migrants from deportation. At the same time, the local elected officials getting arrested by federal agents have to go through a legal process, which is expensive, but taxpayers don't mind footing the bill.

Yesterday's protest had the subject: "ensure compliance" with a court order requiring ICE to treat migrants at the same level as hotel living conditions, according to the organizers.

The biggest winner is always the lawyers who are raking millions from taxpayers to provide the services of those getting arrested for political gain.

Also note this is the second arrest of the NYC Comptroller in a dignified pose. Today the Comptroller is relaxing, getting ready for the weekend to relax more.

The NY Governor's office stated funding is always available for anything against ICE.
