Suspect wanted for crime shot by police in Springfield Gardens

Police responded to a warrant at a home on 182 Street and 143rd Avenue. From there, violence erupted leading to one shot. Two police officers injured. Chopper is hovering above. Local schools are on lockdown. The person shot is wanted by police for past shooting. Police had warrant for the arrest. The suspect pulled out a gun during the confrontation and not cooperative leading to altercation. Area closed for investigation.

Update - The suspect died at the local hospital. More investigation are underway.
