Suspect in custody after pursuit to Bayside

Police reported a vehicle was stolen from a victim after a robbery on the local parkway. It happened around 5:45am in Queens Village last seen on Springfield Blvd and Hillside Avenue. Matching the plates, the vehicle was tracked on the Cross Island Parkway by Northern Blvd. After police vehicles started to chase, the suspect bailed out from the vehicle to a watery area of the parkway. After a search, the suspect was taken into custody. Chopper and K-9 were also at the scene. Two police officers sustained injuries. Ongoing investigation.
