Suspect arrested for stabbing in Brentwood

Suffolk County Police today arrested a homeless woman for stabbing a male acquaintance to death in Brentwood. Third Precinct officers responded to 95 2nd Ave. Apartment 8704 at approximately 2 a.m. after a 911 caller reported a man was stabbed. The man, Antonio Rice, 56, of Brentwood, was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. Charlene Blackshear was arrested a short distance away and charged with Manslaughter 1st Degree. Blackshear, 50, will held overnight at the Fourth Precinct and is scheduled for arraignment at First District Court in Central Islip on June 11. (Info from Suffolk County police)
