Suspect charged with attempted murder for two seniors inside the 7 train in Queens

Police reported the suspect slashed two seniors in their 70's who were on their way to work slashed and assaulted inside the 7 train has been arrested and charged with attempted murder and other charges. He has been held pending arraignment. The incident was reported on July 5 around 7:30am on Roosevelt Avenue and 52nd Street.
As for courts :
There will be no Mets tickets for court appearances. Queens Criminal Court is set to open on July 15 for both in-custody and those who have cases not in-custody. However, in-person jury will not start until August. The public defenders will request for virtual meetings between their clients and judges citing, Americans with Disabilities Act and highlight medical conditions due to the pandemic.
As usual, very few cases go through trials and most are settled with less convictions after pleading guilty.
