Suspect arrested for theft and slashing a security guard at Rite Aid in Flushing

Police are at 71-18 Kissena Blvd in Flushing reporting a suspect was caught stealing items from the pharmacy area and security confronted.

That's when the suspect took out a knife and slashed the security guard in the arm.

The suspect was last seen south Kissena Blvd identified as white male wearing glasses, red and brown jacket with blue jeans.

Police searched and apprehended the suspect near Parsons Blvd. The security guard is taken to Jamaica Hospital with minor injuries.
