A pedestrian struck dead on Queens Blvd

Police have closed off Queens Blvd and 56 Avenue in Elmhurst reporting a pedestrian struck by vehicle and dead.

The driver remained on the scene and is cooperating with police. Ongoing investigation. The incident happened around 6:30am and the victim was declared dead around 7am at Elmhurst Hospital. The victim, a 40 year old female was heading to work.
