Suspect arrested for fake bills and assaulting a cop in East Garden City

Police arrested Triston Campbell, 27 of Brooklyn and charged with assault, drugs and counterfeit dollar bills. It happened on January 16 around 9:30pm in the parking lot of 821 Stewart Avenue in East Garden City. Police reported during a traffic stop, when they approached Campbell, he allegedley struck the officer while opening the passenger side door and took off on foot. He was caught shortly and more assault contined on two officers until he was cuffed. He has been arraigned on all charges.
