Subway sandwich shop employee busted for sexual abuse

The Special Victims Squad report the arrest of a Queens man for Sexual Abuse that occurred on Friday, June 4, 2021 at 7:25 pm in Merrick. According to detectives, Dipak Patel, 39, of Richmond Hill, approached a female juvenile, 12, and forcibly grabbed her inappropriately while working at the Subway restaurant, 1341 Jerusalem Avenue. Officers then responded to the scene and placed the defendant under arrest without further incident. Defendant Dipak Patel is charged with Sexual Abuse 1st degree and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. He will be arraigned on Saturday, June 5, 2021 in Mineola.
