Strong arm robberies displaying weapons on the rise in Queens

The NYPD is alerting local residents and civilians to stay alert after strong arm robberies are increasing on a regular basis.

Some of them are listed by area.

Marshall's store on Queens Blvd in Rego Park was robbed over the weekend. The incident was reported on Saturday morning. Police described the suspect as maleHispanic who took off on foot. Shoppers inside the store were shocked by the incident.

A worker and a civilian were injured during the incident when the suspect took out a weapon.

The latest incident involving a civilian was reported today in Flushing. This is on Union Street and 32nd Avenue near Leavitts Park. The suspect, male, black took off in a vehicle.

EMS treated the victim on the scene.
