Street vendors and restaurants got a big break today

NYC City Council members passed legislation to ban polystyrene foam containers but the bill will not be signed unless the vendors who provides them a chance to prove it can be recycled. Currently restaurants and street vendors depend on polystyrene foam containers since its not a recycled item, thus garbage pileup in landfills is another concern for the city. \
