State police continue to investigate trooper shooting incident on the Southern State Parkway in Nassau County

The New York State Police is conducting an investigation into the circumstances of the shooting involving Trooper Thomas Mascia that was reported on October 30th.  Investigators are currently executing a search warrant at Trooper Mascia’s residence. 

Investigators have canceled the BOLO (Be on the Lookout) for the black Charger with NJ temporary registration.

This remains an ongoing investigation, and further updates will follow.
