State Police arrest Schenectady woman following the assault of a disabled individual

On October 1, 2026, State Police of Clifton Park arrested Juliet Amoakoah, 47, of Schenectady, NY, for:

Endangering the Welfare of an Incompetent or Physically Disabled Person 1st, a class “E” felony

Endangering the Welfare of a Vulnerable Elderly Person, or an Incompetent or Physically Disabled Person 2nd, a class “E” felony

Assault 3rd, a class “A” misdemeanor

On October 1, 2026, at about 8:36 p.m., State Police responded to a care facility in Halfmoon for the report of an assault. The investigation determined that Amoakoah, who was employed as a health care aide, reportedly approached and struck and kicked one of the disabled residents multiple times, causing them injury. Other staff intervened and contacted law enforcement. Amoakoah left before law enforcement’s arrival.

Amoakoah was located and arrested in Waterford, NY and transported to SP Clifton Park for processing. She was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Halfmoon Town Court on October 21, 2026, and released.
