State Police arrest Niskayuna man for possessing child sexual abuse material

On June 4, 2026, State Police of Princetown, with the assistance of the Troop G Computer Crimes Unit, and in partnership with the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI), arrested David Benjamin, 59, of Niskayuna, NY, for Promoting a Sexual Performance by a Child, a class “D” felony, and Possessing a Sexual Performance by a Child, a class “E” felony.

Benjamin is accused of promoting and possessing images consistent with child sexual exploitation.  His arrest followed an investigation and the execution of a search warrant at his residence in Niskayuna, NY on June 4, 2026. The investigation stemmed from a tip received from The FBI Child Exploitation Notification Program (CENP).

Benjamin was arrested and processed at SP Latham.
