State Police arrest Bleecker woman following a disturbance with a knife

On July 23, 2025, State Police arrested Margaret E. Mulligan, 33 of Bleecker, NY for Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the third degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the fourth degree, Menacing in the second degree, Two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Harassment in the second degree.

On July 23, 2025, at about 1:02 p.m. Troopers responded to a home in Bleecker, NY for the reports of a disturbance. The investigation determined during a verbal argument with two children under the age of 17, Mulligan allegedly displayed and threatened the juvenile victims who were known to her with a knife. Further investigation discovered a firearm within the home which was seized. The firearm was not displayed during the incident but was determined to be illegally possessed by Mulligan due to her history of a previous felony conviction.
