Morrisonville male arrested for CPW 3rd and CPCS 7th

On July 25, 2025, members of the New York State Police arrested Chad A. Matton, a 35-year-old resident of Morrisonville, NY. He was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon (due to a previous conviction), four counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and third-degree bail jumping.

On July 25, 2025, at approximately 1:16 a.m., Troopers responded to Route 189 in the town of Clinton to assist U.S. Border Patrol with a traffic stop.  An investigation determined Matton was in possession of a stun gun and narcotics. Further investigation revealed Matton had an active warrant out of the Town of Altona Court.
