Stabbing investigation in West Hempstead

Last night around midnight, the NCPD reported a dispute turned into stabbing in West Hempstead. This is outside the local restaurant on Hempstead Turnpike near Mayfair Avenue.

EMS transported a female, 52 and a male, 50 to local hospitals from the injuries. Shortly, the female died at the local hospital.

The male has been released.

Police made an arrest this afternoon and have the suspect in custody.

Charges are pending.

The investigation continues.
