Special crew had more work on crimes in Queens

The Crime Scene Unit, Emergency Service Unit and other units had more work for the weekend focusing on evidence collections on crimes around Queens. The latest incident for today is a stabbing incident inside the Pomonok public housing in Kew Garden Hills around 2pm. EMS transported the victim to a local hospital. Police are now searching for the suspect, female, Hispanic who was last seen on Kissena Blvd.

Earlier today around 3am, a road rage on the service road of the BQE near the Grand Central Parkway resulted with a male shot. Police say the suspect took off in a Honda.

As for incidents involving knives not counting robberies, two locations reported victims. Sunnyside in the vicinity of 48th Street and Barnett Avenue where two victims were slashed on December 7. Also on the same day, a victim was stabbed in Ridgewood in the vicinity of Fresh Pond Road and Palemetto Street.

As for Highway CSI, Jamaica reported a fatality. On December 5 around 6pm, a pedestrian was struck and later died by a moped driver in the vicinity of 168 Street and 93rd Avenue near the local Home Depot. The moped driver was charged with unlicensed driving and released with a desk appearance.
