12 is the current threshold with small businesses in NYC

That's 12% of small businesses that have closed doors for good this year operating in the last five years according to the NYS Division of Corporations. The clear winner is door to door delivery companies that's expanding rapidly citywide.

One of the biggest complaints by small businesses is enforcement such as sidewalk littering by walkers, sanitary conditions to demand satisfactory to the city's requirement and of course, garbage disposal.

Despite the Small Business Opportunity Fund with more than $85 million taxpayers funding granted to over 1,000 locations, it's not enough to sustain the number one issue and that's increasing rent.

The other two are retail thefts and shoplifting.

Under the incoming Mayor, the wait and watch is the new team whether there is support for small businesses or larger corporations. Many long time buildings have been replaced with affordable housing with store fronts where rent starts at $10,000 per month plus add'em all up to cover the expenses.

Will there be a profit!
