Sorry the number is outrun for the major event in Queens

Illegal vendors, brothels and anything goes in the vicinity of Roosevelt Avenue is still going strong despite NYPD's crackdown from the famous campaign, Operation Restore Roosevelt. The gang activities continue to plague despite ongoing arrests.

Despite the popular Congress member, Alexandria Ocasio Cortez handling the west side and Grace Meng on the right side of Roosevelt Avenue, they blame President Trump due to lack of funding which NYC and NY doesn't have to combat the ongoing issues.

The NYPD has minimized the operation of illegal vendors since its a never ending issue and continues to expand with more people selling merchandise where local elected officials from the City Council, State Senate to State Assembly say it's a federal matter due to migrants. The illegal vendors say they are not bothered by NYPD since they are protected by many non profit organizations funded by the city with taxpayers. This keeps the operation well lubed by spreading taxpayer funds unbalanced.

With the Mayoral election coming up in three months, NYC is no longer a stand alone enforcement on crimes such as illegal vendors, protesting by blocking traffic, fare evasion and etc. However, the NYPD loves to enforce vehicles on Roosevelt Avenue. Moreover, with the US Open scheduled for August 24, the NYPD is outnumbered to handle all tasks from security to crimes in the vicinity. The crackdown from Operation Restore Roosevelt has led to arrests and closures, but issues persist with open solicitation and brothels which are now moving to the tennis stadium to cater to tourists giving Manhattanites a competition at the Market of Sweethearts.
